The Internet entered Ian’s life in 1993, when he was writing and producing the radio version of the Nine Network’s top rating travel program, Getaway.

Having seen this wonderful new technology (albeit slow then) he approached the television program’s producer about producing a web site, which resulted in the extremely successful Getaway site (with Jamie Bishop).

Ian didn’t know it at the time, but a career path change happened. He found himself consulting to companies for websites and writing on how to use the Internet for business. It led to him being Executive Producer for Travel Online and, indirectly, to his travel book, travel agency and current stable of web sites, which include:
